Busy 3 weeks
Ok, so three weeks is a bit to long to go without an update so im going to try and get one up here.
Things have been realy buisy since the semester started and if you add to that the since of urgency that comes when you realize that we are leaving so soon I have been doing allot. The problem is Its been so long since an update that it is hard to descide what to write.
Thanksgiving was good, we cooked a real thanksgiving dinner for the students at Grapejam, if you counted the cranberry sauce (non of the Thai's ate any) there were nine dishes including turkeys that we roasted. Allot of our Thai freinds had never had turkey before so it was allot of fun.
A group of us also went with a freind to one of the floating markets weekend before last. The markets are realy famouse but they realy try and gouge the tourists because of it. For any shopping Im sticking to JJ's but it was allot of fun to go. The best part was that we went with her parents and got to stay at there weekend house. It was during the leonid meteor showers and we were out in country. The skys were amazingly clear so we got a realy good view of the shower.
This last weekend was the grapevines big retreat for the year. We went to a national park north of Bangkok called Khao Yai (cow yai - "big mountain") on saturday and sunday. Saturday part of the group took a 2k hike to a water fall. The realy exciting part though was the leaches. I had no idea that land leaches even existed, but they do. They are allot like the inch worms that we have in the states but allot more vampiric. I think that everyone who went on the hike got at least one leach, personaly I had two. We all descided that any story that includes large amounts of leaches must be an adventure so we werent realy complaning all that much.
I hope that I get anouther post up here before I get back to the states but If I stay as buisy as I have been I might not have time. Sorry that these have slowed down so much.

you scrape a knife blade next to you skin, or you can just pull them off. I took the knife blade aproach, its allot easier.
